Business Administration Apprenticeships can cover many different job roles across hundreds of sectors in business's large and small. The skills and knowledge gained during the Apprenticeship will be of value to most employers. This wide range of jobs combined with the broad array of skills acquired mean that a Business Administration Apprenticeship could be the stepping-stone to a successful career

TCHC currently offer Business Administration Apprenticeships at Level 2, 3 and 4.

Business Administration Level 2

  • NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Business and Administration learners must achieve a minimum of 45 credits.
  • You will also have the opportunity to gain English, Maths and ICT at Functional Skills Level 2 if you have not already attained an equivalent qualification.
  • The Apprenticeship is a minimum of 12 months with a minimum of Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 450 hours including 229 hours of Guided Learning Hours (GLH).

  • The Business Administration Apprenticeship is suitable for Administration Assistants/Clerks and Receptionist etc. It's ideal for most sectors including Financial Services, Hospitality, Sport and Recreation, Health and Social Care, Travel and Tourism, Local Government, Power & Energy and Housing. Progression routes include advanced Apprenticeships such as Level 3 Business Administrator and Level 3 Team Leader.

  • There are no prerequisites for this qualification, however it may be helpful to have a keen interest in business and administration, a “can do” attitude and have basic numeracy and literacy skills. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16+.

Business Administrator Level 3

  • Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration.
  • You'll also be required to attain Maths and English at Functional Skills Level 2 if you don't already have a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
  • The Apprenticeship is a minimum of 12 months.

  • Successful completion can lead to promotion towards team leader, management or senior support role and continued professional development. You could also consider a higher Level 4 Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
  • The Apprenticeship can last a minimum of 12 months up to 18 months.

Business Administrator Level 4

  • OCR Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Business and Administration, you will also be required to attain Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths, English and ICT if you do not already have an equivalent qualification.
  • The Apprenticeship last a minimum of 15 months with a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 389 hours including 296 hours of Guided Learning Hours (GLH).
