What is the KickStart Scheme?
The Kickstart Scheme is designed to provide funding for employers in order to create job opportunities for 16 to 24-year olds.
The Government's recently announced scheme is an innovative way to help young people into work and spur Britain’s economic revival.
The scheme is a subsidised programme where the Government pays £6500 to cover the wage, national insurance and pension contributions of individuals for 25 hours a week with up to an additional £1500 per placement to help with other costs such as set-up, training, travel and uniform.
We're working with businesses to:
- Administer the scheme on their behalf, combining applications from multiple organisations to hit the Government's need for at least 30 placement requests per application, each employer only needs a single vacancy and we will collate as an intermediary on behalf of all the employers
- Provide the essential employability training needed to align with the scheme's funding requirements
This scheme will help open doors to a brighter future for a new generation and to ensure businesses can bounce back stronger in the economy.
The new Government funded scheme is available across Great Britain as part of a £2 billion fund to create work placements for 16 to 24-year olds on Universal Credit. They will be placed on a high quality 6-month work placement with the aim of creating lasting skills and opportunities to keep them in work for the foreseeable future. |
Any business is eligible, the only requirement is the vacancies meet the following criteria:
