Abigail Montague - GAPS Thurrock and Romford Team Leader
Abigail is the Team Leader for Thurrock and Romford GAPs centres. Abby's career started as a beauty therapist in a salon where she worked for over 5 years, after this time she felt she needed a change so applied for an admin role at TCHC, Abigail got a role in our old Dunmow office and started as an apprentice administrator working on the SSR/SSU contracts.
After 2 years in the office she was given the opportunity to become a Personal Adviser and worked on several contracts over the last 6 years including SSR, SSU, SAaB, 50+ and Wellbeing and On Track Thurrock. When the On Track contract ended in December 2019 Abby went back to her office roots and back into Stansted working with the admin team processing the GAPs, AEB and GLA paperwork – "It was lovely to be back in the office but I really missed being out and about and the daily challenges, outcomes and achievements that being an adviser brings."
In September Abigail was given the opportunity to take on the role of Team Leader covering the Thurrock and Romford centres, which is where she is now. "I love working with the young people, seeing their potential, watching them grow as an individual and helping them to progress in all aspects of their lives."
