How it worksWhen you contact us we will arrange for one of our specialist Personal Advisers to meet you for an informal chat. At the meeting the adviser will discuss your career goals, the training and support you may need to achieve these goals as well as any special needs you might have. If you need extra support with literacy and numeracy skills, writing your CV or managing debt your adviser can help you with these too. Once you have started with the Skills for Jobs programme you will have the support of a mentor who will meet with you regularly to see how you are getting on and whether you need any additional help. Most Skills for Jobs courses last between 4-8 weeks. While you study your mentor will help you find a job. Even after you have completed your course you will be supported in your job search for a further 6 weeks. If you are successful and find employment you will have the option to see your mentor for up to 13 weeks from when you start work.
