Opportunities Through Technology
Project Name: Building Bridges
The Building Bridges project will provide disabled adults with the opportunity to explore and experience the ways in which technology can enhance their opportunities in life, including access to employment opportunities. The project is based in local community facilities ensuring ease of access to the training and support. OTTs experienced trainers and assessors provide an environment that is welcoming and supportive. Participants will finish the course with greatly enhanced opportunities.

Voluntary Sector Training (VST)
Project Name: ABC Skills
To support skills and confidence development to enable volunteers, carers, and particularly disadvantaged individuals to increase their personal skills, options for development and readiness for employment. The project will empower individuals through an initial assessment of their skills and strengths and development of a personal action plan and next step options. This will lead to skills development to increase employment readiness from a range to include Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and others.

Phase 1 Projects
Harlowsave Credit Union Limited
Project Name: Willing Wise Working
The project is aimed at individuals Over 50 who are unemployed or economically inactive. Participants will undertake and informal interview to ascertain their hard and soft skills. They will be encouraged to volunteer a minimum of one day per week. Group mentoring sessions will also be established and end interviews or project interviews will take place with the participant to develop an exit strategy to support them back into employment.

Project Name: Pathway to Employment
The Pathway to Employment project will deliver structured employability sessions for 40 BAMER individuals. These sessions will be led by a Project Worker and targeted to the specific needs of each learner. These individuals will move closer to employment through a variety of methods.

Project Name: Lifestyle Starters
Focused at young adults with learning difficulties. This project will enable people to become more positive about themselves, explore their potential and develop strategies to identify, address and overcome some of their own limitations and the attitudinal and organisational barriers that society places in their way.

Project Name: Growing Together
This project will work with 12 services users with mental health problems and associated learning difficulties to provide work experience in our community garden, basic skills and vocational training and one to one employment coaching.

Project Name: Garden to Gain Job Skills
The Garden to Gain Project is being run by Walden in Transition at the Dig It Community Allotment in Saffron Walden. The project will improve the employability, confidence and social skills of local unemployed participants through learning to grow food together in a group and additional job application skills training.

Support 4 Sight
Project Name: Employment Skills 4 Sight Impaired People
Support 4 Sight’s project will encourage blind and partially sighted people get back into work. When people lose their vision it can lead to depression and loss of confidence, and they believe they are unable to work due to their sight loss. Our project will help people to gain skills needed in the workplace.
