TCHC's Information Security Management Systems Receive Stamp of Approval

on 17 June 2010.

TCHC has been awarded the coveted ISO 27001:2005 Information Security Standard, making the company one of only 444 UK organisations to have achieved this.

ISO 27001:2005 is an internationally-recognised standard that gives a seal of approval to companies that manage sensitive information and data effectively.

The security of personal and confidential data is a critical issue for organisations particularly in light of recent scandals involving the loss and theft of millions of consumers’ personal details.

Dale Morgan is CEO of TCHC and said: “TCHC wants all its customers to feel completely at ease so that when we work with them they have full confidence in our ability to look after their personal information.

“This standard endorses the processes and practices we use and affirms our commitment to our customers,” said Dale.

From the very beginning TCHC has been conscious of the importance of data security both out of a responsibility to its public sector contract holders and to all its customers including private sector companies and individuals.

As a result it developed clear and robust procedures and protocols that protect data and define the way it operates as a responsible company.

The standard is very important for TCHC as it clearly demonstrates that its customers can be confident in the way their information is managed minimising threats to personal security and data.

The process includes a rigorous external assessment examining systems and procedures resulting in a set of clearly defined policies and practices that ensure minimal risk to customers’ information and data.

The award to TCHC of the ISO 27001:2005 standard is an important accolade for the company and sets it apart as one of only a few of the UK’s thousands of organisations with robust systems in place to protect customers’ data.
