TCHC:Putting the Customer First

on 26 July 2010.

TCHC, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Putting the Customer First’ standard, becoming only the 19th company in the Eastern region to attain the standard.

In an increasingly competitive world, where it is thought that around 70% of customers choose a company – not on price or quality of goods but on quality of service – good customer service has become the key way for a business to distinguish itself and standout from the competition.

‘Putting the Customer First’ is the nationally recognised standard for Customer Service and demonstrates TCHC’s commitment to building first-class relationships with all its customers.

Since the company started in 2004, customer service has been at the forefront of TCHC’s philosophy. TCHC’s CEO, Dale Morgan says:

“The question that I encourage everyone to always have at the front of their mind is ‘How can we help?’ By achieving this standard we are showing our customers that is exactly what we are about: focusing on them at every step of the way.

“Typically the road to achievement takes an average of 10 months, so the fact that we have achieved this in a third of that time is a testament to the culture here at TCHC.

“This achievement will only serve to strengthen our ethos of customer service excellence and I hope it will give our clients even greater confidence that it’s their interests that lie at the heart of our business.”

The process includes a rigorous external assessment where employees from across the company present information and are interviewed by an external assessor.

To meet full compliance a total of 32 different criteria have to be satisfied across 3 different categories: ‘customer relationships’, ‘market awareness’ and ‘people’.

Assessor, Landy Palmer, pays tribute to TCHC’s approach:

“TCHC's preparation and performance clearly indicates the importance it places on constantly reviewing and improving the way it interacts with all its customer groups.

“It has a team of dedicated professionals who clearly enjoy what they do and are committed to continuous improvement and aim at putting the customer’s interests first at all times.”

Gaining the ‘Putting the Customer First’ standard is another important accolade for the company that was recently awarded with the ISO 27001:2005 quality standard for data security and management.

Dale explains: “In a competitive climate, where customer loyalty is paramount, we are focusing on achieving standards that will give people increased confidence that TCHC is a safe pair of hands that always delivers.”
