TCHC launches a Community Interest Company

Earlier this month TCHC officially incorporated a Community Interest organisation, which will trade as ‘TCHC Opportunities for All Community Interest Company,’ to the group of companies.

TCHC Opportunities for All CIC was set up to assist individuals and organisations within the community who need guidance, support and practical solutions, enabling them to develop skills and competence to fully engage in society and embrace responsible citizenship.

The new company will deliver a flexible and holistic individually tailored outreach service of guidance, employability skills, motivational and personal development training, which will support each individual to move towards sustainable employment. TCHC Opportunities for All CIC will also work with local employers and voluntary organisations to develop route ways to employment for the unemployed within the community, including work experience tasters as well as employment, job and volunteer opportunities.

Dale Morgan, TCHC’s CEO commented “Our new Community Interest Company will provide opportunities to the most disadvantaged in the community to gain practical work experience alongside training and support thereby providing individuals with the roots to develop independence and enabling them to give back to their community.”

“The company will address employment barriers and will offer individuals the opportunity to acquire skills through the provision of short courses in their locality to develop their social skills for 21st century employment. It will ensure that beneficiaries start to make a contribution to their local community through work opportunities as well as giving them the chance to become less dependent on the resources within that community.”

“We are also happy to announce that Lorraine Gimson, who is currently managing our Response to Redundancy project, has accepted the offer to become a Director of TCHC Opportunities for All CIC. Lorraine has been with TCHC since 2006 and brings a wealth of experience and successful delivery expertise to the Company and the Board. As the business grows we expect to invite other key individuals to join the Board”, Dale added.
