Happy sunny Friday :)
TCHC Presents at the Vibrant Gujurat Summit in India
TCHC, along with half a dozen other organisations, joined Essex County Council’s International team on a fact finding mission to India. The Deputy Leader, Kevin Bentley, led the party and we were joined by MEP Geoffrey van Orden at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.
Our hectic schedule saw us visit three major cities in the space of five days.
On the second day our MD, Rose Lavin presented at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit where she discussed the UK skills agenda with an audience of over 800 delegates. The presentation was attended by highly respected Indian government leaders and representatives from over 39 different countries. Rose’s skills agenda presentation received a standing ovation from the delegates.
The secret to India’s growth potential is its rising young workforce and its bustling work ethic that is plain to see in all its major cities. India is exploring ways to train 500million people by 2020 and is therefore keen to learn from other countries on how to develop a sustainable education and skills system as well as sustainable delivery methodologies. As a result TCHC has had the opportunity to consider International partnerships with a number of key Indian stakeholders.
