LandSkills East: Funded Training for Land Based Industries

We offer funded training courses, under the LandSkills East project. The training is available for a wide range of courses which may include management, marketing and information technology courses specifically for land based and rural businesses. All training delivered under the LandSkills East project is up to 70% part funded.
Our training courses were developed to make a direct impact on the profits and productivity of land based and rural businesses. These courses will also assist you to retain and develop your staff, ensuring you remain competitive in a challenging environment.
Who's eligible for LandSkills East funding?
- Farmers, growers and agricultural contractors
- Farm employees (including migrant workers)
- Small scale food businesses and young men and women entering farming
- People engaged in an economic activity relating to rural crafts, heritage skills
- Beneficiaries must be engaged in a business, organisation or social enterprise which is dependent upon agriculture/horticulture products and spend 50% of their time in primary production.
- Beneficiaries from rural business, social enterprises, charities and other formally consistuted groups
- In addition Rural Micro Enterprises that do not fall in the areas above can also apply if other grant support is not available.
Which training courses are not eligible for funding?
- Most legislative training, advice and consultancy
- Skills training/knowledge transfer activities lasting longer than 3 years
- Courses which form part of normal systems of agriculture at secondary/ higher level education
- Training for minors (under the age of 16 years).
