Julie Jones Wins Enterprising Challenge Award at the Enterprising Women Awards 2009

Written by Joseph Marren on 26 November 2009.

Category sponsored by TCHC, specialises in business and workforce development

Sponsoring the award for ‘Enterprising Challenge’ at this year’s coveted Enterprising Women Awards 2009 held at the Menzies Cambridge Hotel & Golf Club, TCHC, a company that specialises in business and workforce development solutions, was delighted to present the award to Julie Jones founder of Changes Forever and MNC Developments.

The runners up in this category included Paula Wynne, Remote Employment and Jeanette Miller, Geoffrey Miller Solicitors.

Karen Beckwith, Director of Partnerships and New Business Development at TCHC presented Julie with a bouquet of flowers and a beautiful cut glass trophy. The awards were announced by ‘Secret Millionaire’ and founder of A4e, Emma Harrison who gave an inspirational keynote speech.

Candidates for the ‘Enterprising Challenge’ award were women who had overcome significant barriers in their journey towards developing their business. Julie Jones’ entrepreneurial drive has helped her succeed despite a number of personal tragedies. Her passion, hard-work and determination have led to two successful businesses; MNC Development, a company that designs and manufacturers a new kind of penis ring for men with erectile dysfunction, and a relationship and lifestyle coaching consultancy supporting people through divorce and separation, personal growth and development and relationship and lifestyle coaching.

Commenting on winning the award, Julie said: “I am delighted that my personal and business achievements have been recognised by such a respected body as Enterprising Women. It gives you such a confidence boost and also shows that women can do anything they put their mind to.”

Julie’s partner, Rob New is paralysed with a spinal injury and is wheelchair bound. Keen to help both Rob and the 2.3 million UK men facing erectile problems, the couple was keen to use Rob’s background as a design engineer and Julie’s sales and marketing skills to design, manufacture and sell a sex aid for erectile dysfunction. “It’s taken nearly two years of research, development and trials but MyTenring was launched in September 2008”

TCHC’s Karen Beckwith said, “It was an honour to present Julie with this award. The competition was very tough this year but Julie really stood out as a truly inspirational woman who has come out on top despite all the challenges she’s had to face. TCHC would like to wish her every success in her business ventures.”
