TCHC Launches 'Marketing Monday' - One Day Crash Course for Small Business Most small businesses know that marketing is the key to driving sales but many owner-managers or senior management don’t always have the experience or formal training in marketing to implement a well thought out strategy. Thankfully, as part of its Practical Skills for Business series, TCHC, a specialist company in business and workforce development solutions is launching ‘Marketing Monday’, a crash course in marketing techniques and ideas aimed at giving SMEs a boost. The course will cover six vital areas, including: what is meant by marketing and its implications for your business; defining your market, its position and needs and wants; how to segment your market and identify customers; the importance of the business environment and competition; how to develop your ‘marketing mix’ and produce a marketing plan; and finally selling and customer care. According to Dale Morgan, Managing Director at TCHC, many businesses don’t have a formal marketing plan and tend to advertise or promote their business in a ‘scatter-gun’ manner. He explains,” Without a structured marketing campaign, small businesses can invest a lot of money but without knowing whether their investment has been worthwhile.” ‘Marketing Monday’ courses will be held on 8 February, 15 February, 22 February and 1 March. Running from 9.00 for a 9.30 a.m. start to 16.30, the crash course will be held at TCHC’s head office: Building 1, Marlins Meadow, Croxley Green Business Park, Watford, WD18 8YA. The course costs £220 plus VAT per delegate. Further dates in other locations will be announced in due course.
